Offered is a collection of more than 300 vintage newspapers and 129 plus scrapbooks from the late 1800’s all the way through the 1970’s. The conditions range from G-VG to EX-NM. Some of the newspapers are photocopies along with other newspapers being brittle and tattered. Some of the newspapers include: an 1884 Louisville Commercial that has facing John Sullivan as one of the headlines, a 1900 Police Gazette Scrapbook, a 1917 scrapbook titled Benny Leonard defeats Johnny Kilbane, 1921 Austin Statesman with Jack Dempsey Remains Fistic Champion as the headline, a scrapbook that has the 1930 fight between Max Schmeling and Jack Sharkey and the 1951 fight between Jersey Joe Walcott and Ezzard Charles, a 1938 Chicago Daily Tribune that says Louis knocks out Mann in the Third Round, a 1940 The Bomber (Joe Louis) Takes a look at an Army rifle, a 1974 Philadelphia Inquirer with the headline Ali is Greatest Again along with scrapbooks that feature original newspapers with Jack Dempsey, Tex Richard and many more.
