During 1933-34 Goudey ran a unique promotion offering any collector with enough wrappers a chance to redeem them in exchange for a high quality premium. Collectors would receive their premiums through the mail in just a thin manila envelope, leading to many of the premiums being damaged in transit. Offered here is the Goudey R309 premium depicting Hall of Fame New York Yankees slugger George Herman (Babe) Ruth in one of his most recognizable poses. Some creasing and border wear though image fairly clean with light spotting. Premium measures 5.25" x 9" and features a fold out cardboard easel on the reverse. (F0097)
