During 1933-34 Goudey ran a unique promotion offering any collector with enough wrappers a chance to redeem them in exchange for a high quality premium. Collectors would receive their premiums through the mail in just a thin manila envelope, leading to many of the premiums being damaged in transit. Offered here is the Goudey R309 premium depicting the American League representatives for the first ever All Star Game in 1933. Text on reverse provides a historical context and player listing. Some creasing around corners with slight creasing to image. Premium features a fold out cardboard easel on the reverse and the original postmarked mailing envelope will also attend. Measures 5.25" x 9". (F0096)
