Assembled from various newspapers, this collection consists of HOFers, Stars, semi Stars, and hard to find images from American League teams and players. All images were from the archives of National newspapers and contain crop marks, notes on reverse and date stamps. 40% are smaller sized photos, measuring from 2”x4” to 3”x8” and are head or upper body shots. The final 60% range in size 6”x8” to 8”x10” and consist of a variety of poses. Players included are Dale Mitchell, Walter Johnson, Gaylord Perry, Luis Tiant, Johnny Mize, Rogers Maris, Minnie Minoso, Jim Gentile, Satchel Paige, Lew Krause, Fred Lynn, Mickey Lolich, Tom Matlick, Don Gutteridge, Nick Altrock, Denny McClain, Jackie Jensen, Dutch Zwilling, Mike Epstein, Cal McLish, Oscar Mellilo, Dale Mitchell, Bill Monbouquette, Wally Moses, Ed Lopate, Tom Agee, Luis Tiant, Al Lopez, Jim Piersall, Leo Durocher, Lary Doby, Luke Easter, Billy Hitchcock, Jim Gentile, Bill Skowron, Carlos May, Bill Veeck, and many more hard to find names. Images of these everyday players are much harded to locate than the teams super stars.
