Assembled from various newspapers, this collection consists of HOFers, Stars, semi Stars, and hard to find images from American League teams and players. All images were from the archives of National newspapers and contain crop marks, notes on reverse and date stamps. 40% are smaller sized photos, measuring from 2”x4” to 3”x8” and are head or upper body shots. The final 60% range in size 6”x8” to 8”x10” and consist of a variety of poses. Players included are Bob Skinner, Smoky Burgess, Gene Mauch, Tito Fuentes, Juan Marichal, Mike McCormick, Tug McGraw, Bill McKechnie, Denis Menke, Joe Medwick, Branchy Rickey, Milt Pappas, Jim O'Toole, Jackie Robinson, Gil Hodges, Walter O'Malley, Bobby Bragan, Jimmy Piersall, Phil Cavarretta, Al Dark, Matty Alou, Sandy Amoros, Fred Haney, Dick Groat, Jim Gilliam and many more hard to find names. Images of these everyday players are much harded to locate than the teams super stars.
Teams included but not limited to include: Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs and Cinicnnati Reds.
