Offered is a Jeff Kent professional model Cooper game used bat from his 2003 campaign with the New York Mets. Model number C271 is stamped on the script barrel while Kent's uniform number 12 is written on both ends of the bat.
This ash bat currently weighs 31 ounces, measures 34" in length and matches known player factory records with a Gwynn finish, regular knob and cupped barrel. It exhibits signs of heavy use with ball marks, stitch marks and bat rack marks. Handle remains uncracked.
Bat receives 5 points for matching known player factory records, 3 points for use, 1 point for a documented uniform number and loses 1/2 a point for damage to the barrel stamping resulting in a final grade A8.5.
