Offered is a $2,000 bond which was pledged to the Chicago Whales Federal League Baseball Club on October 1, 1914. The team pledged a return on the investment in 3 years time with 6% interest compounded annually. The Federal League would disband after the 1915 season so it doesn't look like this was the wisest investment. (A0140)
