Offered are a pair of New York Mets road pants which were originally issued to and worn by hurler Buzz Capra during the 1973 season. Wilson size 31 tag sewn in waistband along with strip reading "38 73 22" indicating Capra's uniform number, the year of issue and inseam. The names Dykstra, McKnight, Trevino and the number 23 are written in black marker at various locations on the interior of the pants indicating these pants likely survived for some time within the organization, likely seeing use with an affiliated minor league franchise.
