Offered is a Dave LaPoint professional model Louisville Slugger game used bat from his 1985 season with the St. Louis Cardinals. Model number R161 is stamped on the barrel while LaPoint's uniform number 40 is written in black marker on the knob.
This ash bat currently weighs 34 ounces, measures 36" in length and matches known player factory records with a regular knob and cupped barrel. It exhibits signs of heavy use with ball marks, stitch marks, bat rack marks and a 18" handle crack with missing pieces.
