1977 Bobby Valentine New York Mets Game Worn Home Jersey (MEARS LOA)

This New York Mets jersey was donned by recently fired Boston Red Sox skipper Bobby Valentine during his 1977 campaign with the club. Jersey was dated to 1977 based on the presence of a 1977-87 circa Rawlings size 40 tag and the fact that starting in 1978 Mets jerseys featured neck and sleeve trim. Team name and number sewn to jersey in blue on orange double tackle twill. Mets city logo patch present on left sleeve. Heavy use shown. (Z0052)
