Featured in this lot is a Scott Servais professional model Louisville Slugger game used bat from his tenure with the Chicago Cubs. Model number S340 and Chicago Cubs are stamped on the signature model barrel along with Servais's uniform number 9 written in black on the knob.
This flame treated ash bat currently weighs 30 ounces and measures 34" in length and matches known player factory records. It exhibits signs of heavy use with stitch marks, bat rack marks, cleat marks, a heavy application of pine tar and a 5" handle crack.
Bat receives 5 points for matching player records, 3 points for use and 1 point for a documented uniform number resulting in a final grade of MEARS A9.
