Offered for auction in this lot is a Mike Gallego professional model Rawlings game used bat sourced directly from County Stadium during his 1991 campaign with the Oakland Athletics. Mike Gallego & Oakland A's appear on the Big Stick barrel in block letters while the model number MG99 is stamped in the knob, upon which Gallego's uniform number 9 has been written in silver sharpie.
This black ash bat currently weighs 31 ounces, measures 33.5" in length and matches known player factory records with a regular knob and round barrel. Bat exhibits signs of heavy use with deeply embedded stitch marks, a medium application of pine tar and a 14" handle crack. (Q0032)
