This Hoosier model bat was made for 500 Home Run Club member Rafael Palmeiro, but was used by another member of the Rangers. The 32-ounce, 34-inch bat has the model number HB35 and Raffy's block letter first and last name on the barrel. It matches Palmeiro's recorded player specifications.
The bat exhibits heavy use in the form of deeply embedded stitch marks and a 14-inch handle crack. The black marker presence of the numeral 11 on the knob indicates this bat was used by a teammate (possibly Royce Clayton).
Grade A5: 5 points for matching recorded player specifications, 3 points for heavy use with a 1 point deduction for handle crack and a 2 point deduction for incorrect uniform number.
