A pair of heavyweight greats - Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali - are brilliantly displayed in this collection of eight 6.5" x 8.5" images, taken before their 1970 bout. Reverse includes: date stamps, affixed cutlines, date stamps, written notations and a St. Petersburg Times hologram.
The St. Petersburg Times traces its origin to the West Hillsborough Times, a weekly newspaper started in Duedin, Florida in 1884. This is an original photo, in many cases a Type 1 printed at the time of the event. File copies or type 2 photos are also found, and can be distinguished by the markings on the reverse.
