A block letter first and last name game bat that measures 35”-34.8 oz with heavy game use, surface swelling and marks, with a 3” handle crack and some light dead wood on back of the barrel. Packard played for the Reds in 1912-13 before joining the rogue Federal League with Kansas City (1914-15) when that league folded; he went to the Cubs for the 16 season, then to the Cardinals for 17-18 and finally the Phillies in 1919. This bat post dates his active major league playing career but any bat of a Federal League player is scarce. Packard had an outstanding pitching career in the Federal Leagues going 21-13 in 1914 and 20-11 for the 1915 season. Grades an overall A7
