A great catcher whose catcher record 23 home runs and .999 fielding record in 1950 still stands, Wes Westrum caught every game for the Giants in both the 1951 and 1954 World Series.
This is a rare signature contract C44 model that is 34.5” and weighs 35.4 oz. It shows heavy game use with nice markings and finish and is not cracked. Most of the use is concentrated above the barrel stamp. Playing for the New York Giants from 1947-57, his first order of these bats was shipped on 5-22-47 and the first signature models were shipped on 8-1-47 with the last order sent on 2-6-48 pinpointing this bat to only two seasons.
