Al Oliver was a member of the Pirates from 1968-77 including the 1971 Championship team and was a seven time All Star. Wearing number 0, he became the Rangers All Time leading hitter at .319. He was traded to Montreal for Larry Parrish in March of '82, where he won the NL batting title with a .331 average.
This bat was issued to Oliver while with Montreal in 1982-83. It has a number 4 on the knob, a number worn by Spier in 82-83 with Montreal. It has heavy use with deep stitch marks , especially beneath the barrel stamp. It has a vintage Oliver autograph, is a signature model C243 that is 33”-34.7 oz. and is not cracked.
