The key to Deron Johnson’s collectability is the fact that he was a member of the 1961 New York Yankees. He came up with the Yanks in 1960 -61 before being traded to the A’s in 61 where he played through 1962. He was also a member of the 1967 pennant winning Red Sox. In addition, he had stints with the 68 Braves, 69-73 Phillies, as well as the Brewers, Red Sox and White Sox from 1974-76.
This is a scarce signature model E32 35 ¾”-34.9 oz gamer that shows moderate game use, deeply embedded stitch marks, swelling, surface marks and cleat marks. It remains uncracked and sans any deadwood. His uniform number 11 also appears on the knob as well. He wore number 11 with the Phillies from 1969-73, but would be a much needed and scarce addition to any 1961 Yankees or 1967 Red Sox collection and is a seldom seen bat from any era.
