Bill played for the 1966 Braves, their first season in Atlanta before moving to the Yankees for 1967 through 1969. He joined the Phillies in 1972 where he played through 74 and then again from 1982-83. He stayed in Pennsylvania but moved to Pittsburgh for a few years from 1975-82. He wore number 24 with the Phillies from 1972-74, the era of this bat.
This Bill Robinson bat is a signature model K55 that is 34 inches and 31.8 oz. It remains uncracked and shows heavy game use, deeply embedded stitch marks, surface marks, cleat marks with no dead wood. It has his number 24 in black marker on the knob and has a perfect finish with deep stampings. If you are a Phillies fan or are trying to put together the entire Pirates 1979 team, this is a fairly scarce bat.
