Harry played in the big leagues from 1951-59 for a myriad of teams, most notably, the 1959 Chicago White Sox. This bat was mfg. while he was finishing his traveling career in the minor leagues, beginning in 1960 in the PCL, playing from 60-61 in San Diego.

The bat itself is a signature model R2 (early Ruth model) and shows heavy game use including deeply embedded ball/lace marks and a repaired/restored handle crack. The markings and finish are good but there are remnants of some marker writing after his name on barrel (not readable). There is a vintage number 9 in black marker on the knob (never his major league number and we have no reference to see if this was his number in the minor leagues).

Grade: A7.5
