This book of Green Bay Packer autographs (30 signatures) includes most all of the big names and Hall of Fame stars of the Lombardi Era. The autographs were obtained by a pair of young brothers on the weekend of a Packer game played in Milwaukee. The team hotel was fairly well known, and most players were happy to sign. Signatures in the book include; Hall of Famers Bart Starr, Ray Nitschke, and Willie Davis. The list is highlighted by hard to obtain autographs of Henry Jordan , who signed twice, and Travis Williams. Signatures of Super Bowl Champions Tommy Crutcher, Claudis James, and John Rowser have also become more difficult to find for collectors looking to complete their roster of the Lombardi championship teams.
One interesting side story will be noticed on the page signed by LeRoy Caffey. Mr. Caffey was described by one of the youngsters as the only player who did not seem to welcome the autograph seekers. Though he signed, the brothers at some point scribbled over his name. Later realizing their mistake, they tried to recreate the signature. This should not detract from the overall quality of the book, but does add a nice piece of information to the history of this unique collection.
Other signatures include Leo Carroll, Jim Weatherwax, Fred Carr, Dave Hanner, Jerry Kramer, Chuck Mercein, Willie Wood, Zeke Bratkowski, Carrol Dale, Lee Roy Caffey, Herb Adderly, Francis Winkler, Boyd Dowler, Forrest Gregg, Donny Anderson, Lionel Aldridge. (32H0194)
