Land of the Giants aired for 51 episodes on ABC from 1968-1970 and was produced by sci-fi creator/director Irwin Allen. Set fifteen years in the future, in the year 1983, the series tells the tale of the crew and passengers of a sub-orbital transport ship named Spindrift. In the pilot episode, the Spindrift is en route from Los Angeles to London, on an ultra fast sub-orbital flight. Just beyond Earth's boundary with space, the Spindrift encounters a magnetic space storm, and is dragged through a space warp to a mysterious planet where everything is twelve times larger than on Earth, whose inhabitants the Earthlings nickname "the Giants." The Spindrift crash-lands, and the damage renders it inoperable. Gary Conway starred as Captain Steve Burton.
On March 25th, 2017, the professional staff of MEARS met with Gary Conway for a private signing during his appearance at the Hollywood Show, Chicago.
Gary Conway signed this limited edition 16x20 B&W paper photo stock complete with series logo in the bottom right corner in near mint blue sharpie marker. The high resolution image depicts the three heroes, Gary Conway (Steve Burton), Don Matheson (Mark Wilson), and Deanna Lund (Valerie Scott) huddled by a rock, looking ahead at impending doom. Photo has been authenticated by the professional staff of JSA autograph authenticators and their official company hologram and matching certificate of authenticity card accompanying this piece. Their unique hologram number is maintained at the JSA website which validates the items authenticity.
