Offered is a professional model Don Zimmer game used H&B Louisville Slugger dating to his lone All Star season in 1961 with the Chicago Cubs. Model S188 stamped on knob along with Zimmer's uniform number 17 written in grease pencil. Examination of Zimmer's H&B records indicate he only ordered bats matching these specs on one occasion, August 30th 1961. Bat currently measures 35", weighs 34.5 ounces and shows light use with ball marks and bat rack marks. Handle remains uncracked. Bat receives 5 points for matching player records, 1 point for light use, 1 point for a documented player number and 1 point for the pinpoint record. MEARS A8. (16R0845)
