Offered is a professional model Mizuno bat dating to circa the outset of Albert Pujols career with the St. Louis Cardinals during spring training in 2001. Model N201 stamped on knob along with Albert's uniform number 5 & "Game 4 1 1/2" written in black marker. Bat currently measures 34", weighs 29 ounces and shows heavy use with ball marks, bat rack marks, pine tar, grain swelling/slight deadwood and a glued handle crack. A blue marker signature is also present on the barrel though JSA has determined it to be secretarial. Additional COA stating bat originates from the personal collection of Jesse Barfield will also attend. Bat receives 5 points for matching player records, 3 points for heavy use and 2 points for player traits with a 1 point deduction for the repaired handle crack. MEARS A9. (10L0149)
