In 1963, the Alou brothers made baseball history by all appearing at the same time in the outfield. Although it is often reported the three brothers started, that fact was ill reported. Several times during 1963 season all appeared in the outfield.

This lot represents the only known complete set of Alou Brothers, and the first set that we were able to document to come to the market as one lot.
1961 Felipe Alou San Francisco Giants Game Worn Road Jersey (MEARS A9.5). Manufactured by MacGregor (tagged in collar), with “Alou 3” strip tag in collar. “set 1, 1961” flag tagged on inside tail. Shirt shows heavy game wear with no signs of tears. The name “Alou” is coming loose in the collar, and was deducted ½ point.
1963 Matty Alou San Francisco Giants Signed Game Worn Road Jersey (MEARS A9.5): Manufactured by Spalding & size 40 tags, "M. Alou" swatch, "63" embroidered, "San Francisco", number 41). Minus ½ point for very light staining.
1964 Jesus Alou San Francisco Giants Game Worn Home Jersey (MEARS A10) . (Tim McAuliffe, size 42 & 64 year tags, "J Alou" swatch, "Giants", number 14).
Great collection of one of the most famous brother combinations in baseball history.
