Offered is an array of apparel dating to the final season of Gaylord Perry's Hall of Fame career with the Seattle Mariners in 1983. Breakdown is as follows...
Road jersey. Wilson size 48 tag sewn in collar with a strip reading "36 83" sewn to the tail while "Seattle", number 36 and a "Perry" nameplate are also sewn to the powder blue knit pullover. Gaylord has also signed the front of the jersey along with a "Best Wishes" inscription. Light to moderate wear shown with no point deduction as Perry only pitched in eight road games with Seattle before being traded to Kansas City. MEARS A10.
Cap. New Era Pro Model, MLB Official License and a faded size tag sewn to sweatband while Gaylord's uniform number 36 is written in faded blue marker on the underside of the brim. Perry has also signed the crown in gold marker. Moderate wear shown with some staining to the sweatband and some residue along the top edge of the brim.
Warm up jacket. Faded Rawlings X-Large size tag sewn in collar with a piece of athletic tape with Perry's uniform number 36 written in black marker applied inside the placket while "Mariners" is sewn across the chest in yellow on white double tackle twill. Gaylord has also signed the front of the jacket in gold marker. Moderate wear shown with some color loss to the blue snaps.
In addition a 3.5" x 5.5" snapshot of Perry on the mound during his final game with Seattle at Comiskey Park on June 22, 1983 which has been signed in blue marker by Gaylord will also attend. (01C0201)
