Offered is a professional model Johnny Bench game used Adirondack bat dating to the Hall of Fame backstop's tenure with the Cincinnati Reds circa 1971-79. Model 220M stamped on the knob along with Bench's uniform number 5 written in black marker while Johnny has also signed the barrel in black marker adjacent to his block letter full name stamping. Bat currently measures 35", weighs 35 ounces and shows heavy use with ball marks, stitch marks, light pine tar, slight deadwood and a 9" handle crack. Final Grade MEARS 7.5. 5 points for bat matching known traits for Bench. 3 points for heavy use. 1 point for documented number on knob. Minus 1 for crack, minus 1/2 for flaking of factory stampings.
