Offered is a game used Eddie Mathews professional model Adirondack bat dating to the Hall of Fame slugger's tenure with the Milwaukee Braves between 1961-65. Model 79A is stamped on the knob along with Mathews uniform number 41 written in black marker while the barrel features a block letter "Mathews" stamping. Bat currently measures 35", weighs 32 ounces and shows heavy use with ball marks, stitch marks, and deadwood on the reverse of the barrel including a 6" section of missing wood. Handle remains uncracked. Final Grade (MEARS A9.5) Base grade 5 points, 3 points for heavy game use, 2 points for player traits (documented uniform number on knob), minus 1 for deadwood on reverse.
