Consigned for our November, 2014 auction, our consignor received this bat as a child directly from Eddie Mathews. It has been in his collection ever since as is being offered for the very first time. Offered is a professional model Eddie Mathews game used H&B Louisville Slugger dating to the Hall of Fame third sacker's tenure with the Milwaukee Braves circa 1961-64. Bat features a signature model barrel with model S2 stamped on the knob along with Eddie's uniform number 41 and a small mounting hole. Bat currently measures 35", 31 ounces and shows moderate use with ball marks & stitch marks. Handle remains uncracked. Final Grade MEARS A6.5 , 5 points base grade, 1 point light use, 1 point documented 41 on knob, minus 1/2 for mounting hole on knob. (72Z0248)
