Offered is a St. Louis Cardinals home jersey dating to the penultimate season of Harry "Peanuts" Lowrey's 13 year career in 1954. Rawlings Hall of Fame flannel & size 42 tag sewn in collar with a laundry instruction tag & Set 1 1954 flag tag sewn inside the tail while "P. Lowry" is embroidered on the front left tail. Era appropriate Cardinals Birds on Bat logo is embroidered across the chest of the zip up cream flannel while Peanuts number 37 is sewn to the reverse in red over navy double felt. Light game wear shown, which is consistent with Lowrey only appearing in 44 games while recording an identical 44 plate appearances during 1954 home games. Jersey does appear to have been framed at some point with spots of adhesive residue around the collar/sleeves, some foxing to the front of the jersey, a few small fabric holes & a small team repair on the reverse. Final Grade: MEARS A8, with a 2 point deduction for the aforementioned condition issues. (12N0314)
