Offered is a 7" x 9" original photograph capturing Hall of Fame slugger Eddie Mathews during his 1952 rookie season with the Boston Braves. This image would also serve as the inspiration for Eddie's 1953 Topps trading card portrait. A digital image of the card has been included with the listing for reference purposes, though the auction is for the slabbed photo only. Various handwritten notations present on reverse of photo along with an International News Photo stamp. Photo has been slabbed by PSA who have identified it as an Authentic Type I photograph.
