Offered is a professional model Joe DiMaggio H&B Louisville Slugger team index bat dating to the Hall of Fame center fielder's tenure with the New York Yankees circa 1948-49. A "Joe DiMaggio" signature stamping is found on the barrel while model number D29 is stamped on the knob. Bat currently measures 34", weighs 34 ounces and shows heavy use with ball marks, stitch marks, slight deadwood on the reverse of the barrel and a handle crack with remnants of a period 20 nail repair job. Accompanying will be a PSA/DNA hologram/LOA. Final Grade MEARS A6.5. Base grade 5 points for bat being consistent with a team index model, 3 points for heavy use, minus 1 for handle crack with nails, minus 1/2 for discoloration on barrel. (73A0230)
