Rogell is best remembered for his years with the Tigers where he played on the 1935 World Series team that played the Cubs. He only spent the 1940 season with the Cubs, most of it on the bench before being traded in 1941. Hartnett still resented Rogell and his Tiger teammates of 1935 and this resulted in very little playing time while with the Cubs.
