Ethan Allen is best remembered today as the inventor of the famous Cadaco All Star baseball board game but few realize he was a life time .300 batter who came up with the Reds in 1926-30 then moved on to the Giants 1930-32, Cardinals 1932-33, Phillies 1934-36, Cubs 1936 and finished with the Brownies in 1936-38. He missed Championships by leaving the Cardinals one year before they won in 1934 and went to the Cubs one year after they won the National League Championship in 1935. This example is a peach and dates to his stints with the Phillies, Cubs and Brownies.
