Elmer Miller, the lead off batter, was the first ever New York Yankee to get a hit in a world series and scored the only run of the very first inning. This in the very first Yankees World Series in the new format best of nine series, all of which were played at the Polo Grounds, against John McGraw and his National League Giants. This is the only Elmer Miller bat that we are aware of and the condition is excellent with great game use and the finish is like a piece of furniture. A genuine piece of Yankees history. Given all of the historical moments in the history of the most storied franchise in baseball, finding a rare bat that played apart in making the historic first hit in what would become the most prolific World Series team in baseball history is like finding a needle in the haystack.
