We are excited to offer this rare lot which is a fresh to the hobby discovery and originates from the great grandson of Jake Daubert. For this lot, we are offering Jake Daubert's "O of A" fraternal pin, which we think may stand for "Order of Americans".

Daubert was recognized throughout his career for his performances on the field. He won the 1913 and 1914 National League batting titles, as well as the 1913 Chalmers Award. Between 1911 and 1919, The Baseball Magazine named him to their All-American team seven times. Baseball historian William C. Kashatus observed that Daubert was "a steady .300 hitter for 10 years of the Deadball Era", who "never fielded below the .989 mark" during the same period.

The design is intricate. Measuring slightly over 1" in diameter, the circular design is framed in a gold wreath design. The top has a 5 point star with a center diamond. A sword is set from right to left. "O of A" is stamped. There is also a crown with 22 pearls. 07I0177
