Offered is one of the most significant photos of Ty Cobb from his playing days. Taken on his first day in the big leagues is this photo of Cobb and skipper Bill Armour. Notice those steely eyes, even as an 18-year old. There is a substance on the front (where a glue affixed caption may have been?) but this is EX. Direct from the files of The Sporting News, this image was printed from William Kunezel's (1884-1964)original negative and filed with the Newspaper. Although quite old, possibly as old at 1920 or earlier, this would be designated as a Type 2 image. MEARS Auction LOA.
