Offered is a flat barreled town ball baseball bat likely dating to circa the 1860's through 1880's. No manufacturer stampings or other markings visible while the bat measures 32" & weighs 26 ounces with a barrel which is considerably flatter than those which would appear later in the 19th century. Heavy use shown with deadwood, cracking and wood loss; most notably throughout the barrel area. (81I0227)
